The City Construction and Architecture Committee is pleased to invite interested parties to take part in the open architechtural competition to design a memorial to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky which will be installed on the square in front of the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre (20 Pisarev St, building A).
Specialists (architects, sculptors, designers and artists), individual craftsmen or workshops and creative ensembles from Russia and abroad are invited to take part. Proposals must be submitted by 11 December 2019.
The competition will be run in two stages:
Stage I is the development of the Sketch Proposal for the monument. An exhibition of the Sketch Proposals and the results is planned for 16 to 23 December 2019.
Stage II will be the production of the Sketch Project for the memorial. The results are planned to be announced on 14 April 2020.
