On 16 October (18.00), Richard Wagner’s stage-consecrating festival drama Parsifal returns to the historic stage of the Mariinsky Theatre after an eight-year absence. The original production was staged by British director Tony Palmer (production of 1997, modern revival of the Mariinsky Theatre with Marina Mishuk as revival stage director). On 13 October and 14 October, Munich will host Valery Gergiev’s MPHIL 360 Degrees festival for the fourth time. The festival’s participants include the Munich Philharmonic, the Mariinsky Opera soloists and the Mariinsky Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Choir, the Orfeón Donostiarra from Spain, as well as vocalists from Germany, the United States, Israel, and Switzerland
