From 29 July to 1 August, Valery Gergiev will perform in major cities of Japan at the closing concerts of the Pacific Music Festival (PMF), which runs from 7 July to 1 August
On 31 July (19:00), the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre will host the debut performance of the China Philharmonic Orchestra. The young ensemble is distinguished by its own unique performance style. In St Petersburg, the musicians will present a programme which skilfully combines European and Asian musical traditions
The III International Mariinsky Far East Festival will open at the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Vladivostok on 24 July. The festival will run till 8 August and will include Far East premieres of the Mariinsky Theatre’s productions, various events marking 200 years since the birth of Marius Petipa, and performances by famed instrumentalists, conductors, opera and ballet stars
The historic stage of the Mariinsky Theatre will host summer performances of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre ballet company from 31 July to 12 August
The Mariinsky Theatre ensemble and Valery Gergiev will perform at the traditional summer festival of the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden (Germany) from 20 July to 23 July, while the festival itself runs from 7 July to 23 July
On 12 July and 14 July, Valery Gergiev and the Munich Philharmonic will perform the closing concerts of the 2017/2018 season
