Valery Gergiev and the Mariinsky Theatre have successfully concluded another European concert tour. From 19 March to 25 March, the musicians gave performances in Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic and France
Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem will be performed at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre at 8 pm on 28 March. The orchestra will be conducted by Valery Gergiev. The concert is dedicated to the memory of the Kemerovo tragedy victims.
The previously announced 28 March performance of ballet Paquita will be replaced by ballet Giselle at historic stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. The performance starts at 7 pm.

The II International Harp Festival Northern Lyre will run from March 21 to April 6 at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre and chamber halls of the Mariinsky II. Last season’s festival was a remarkable event. This year’s music forum’s playbill will include highly talented musicians representing the St Petersburg harp school, as well as performers from Serbia, the USA and Estonia. The festival is once again dedicated to harpist and philanthropist Yoko Nagae Ceschina, who helped many of the Mariinsky Theatre projects come to life

From March 15 to March 17 Valery Gergiev will once again conduct the Munich Philharmonic during the сoncerts in Germany and Austria. The German orchestra under the baton of the maestro will perform twice at its home venue, Philharmonie Gasteig (March 15 at 8 p.m, March 17 at 7 p.m), and the Großer Saal of the Musikverein Wien (March 16 at 7.30 p.m)
