Valery Gergiev has become a recipient of the International Stanislavsky Prize

On 7 November the recipients of the XXII International Konstantin Stanislavsky Prize were announced following the results of the 2016-17 season.
The award "For an outstanding contribution to the development of world musical theatre" went to Valery Gergiev.

The prize-giving ceremony for the International Stanislavsky Prize will take place in 2018 and will commemorate one hundred and fifty-five years since the birth of Konstantin Sergeyevich Stanislavsky.
