On 30 September (15:00) and 29 October (12:00) at the historic Mariinsky Theatre soloists of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers directed by Larisa Gergieva will present a premiere of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Der Schauspieldirektor
28 September will see the first concert in a series of performances by the Mariinsky Theatre at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall (Moscow). Over the course of the 2017-18 season Valery Gergiev will be conducting the ensemble three times in concert performances of operas. The first evening in the series will be Richard Wagner's opera Das Rheingold
On 25 September Zaurbek Gugkaev was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The recital by Lucas Debargue (piano), due to take place on 26 September at 19.00 at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre, has been postponed.
The new concert date will be announced later.

From 23 to 29 September, Vladikavkaz will host the I International Caucasus festival The Mariinsky – Vladikavkaz. The venue for this new forum will be the Mariinsky Theatre's branch in Vladikavkaz, the State Academic Philharmonic of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania and the National State Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania
On 15 and 16 October the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev will give three performances at the Samara Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the X Music Festival To Mstislav Rostropovich
From 16 to 29 September the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre will host the V International Organ Festival
From 14 to 17 September Rotterdam will host the twenty-second Gergiev Festival of music. The De Doelen concert hall will see Valery Geregiev conduct the Rotterdam Philharmonic, the Mariinsky Orchestra and the combined Youth Orchestra of the Codarts University of the Arts and the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague. Other participants are to include the Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, violinist Liza Ferschtman (The Netherlands) and pianist Ole Christian Haagenrud (Norway), who will present chamber music programmes at the festival
