On 1 December at 22.00 at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre Denis Matsuev and the Mariinsky Orchestra under Valery Gergiev will bring the Year of Prokofiev to a close. That evening the TV channel RT will produce the theatre's first ever live broadcast of a concert in panorama format. The broadcast will be available on all RT channels on YouTube and via the RT360 App.

On 27 November for the first time at the Concert Hall soloists of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers directed by Larisa Gergieva will present Mikhail Kollontai's opera The Captain's Daughter after the tale by Alexander Pushkin (concert performance)

From 30 November to 4 December the Mariinsky Theatre will be presenting a series of significant events under the aegis of the V St Petersburg International Cultural Forum – the closing concert of the Year of Prokofiev, the world premiere of Igor Stravinsky's orchestral opus Funeral Song and the opening concert of the Year of Stravinsky, premieres of past seasons as well as the current one and recitals by renowned pianists

On 30 November at the historic Mariinsky Theatre soloists of the Academy of Young Opera Singers directed by Larisa Gergiev will present a premiere of Sergei Banevich's opera The Story of Kai and Gerda

On 24 November at the Musorgsky Hall (Mariinsky II) there will be an appearance by TONALi competition prize-winner Mayumi Kanagawa (vioin). The programme includes works by Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber, Alfred Schnittke, Sergei Prokofiev, Johann Sebastian Bach and Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst. This concert opens the subscription Sounds of Change – TONALi Music Hour

From 13 to 17 December in the chamber halls of the Mariinsky-II and at the Concert Hall of the Mariinsky Theatre the Virtuosi of the Flute festival will be held for the first time. The programme includes flute music from different eras and styles, ranging from the baroque to contemporary works, master-classes and a Gala Concert
On 23 November at the Concert Hall soloists of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Opera Singers will present Eduard Nápravník’s opera Dubrovsky (concert performance), marking one century since the death of the outstanding conductor and composer. Conducting the Mariinsky Orchestra will be Vladislav Karklin

On 19 November at the historic Mariinsky Theatre there will be a gala concert of the IV international festival of modern choreography Context. Diana Vishneva
