Debuts in ballets by Stravinsky
On 28 February Anton Korsakov will be making his debut in the lead role in the ballet Pétrouchka, while Maria Shevyakova will be performing the role of the Bride in Les Noces for the first time
A concert to be broadcast online

On 27 February as part of the Percussion for Maslenitsa festival, Mariinsky Media will be broadcasting the concert Peter Sadlo and Friends from the Concert Hall online

Master-classes during Percussion for Maslenitsa

The Mariinsky Theatre is running the tenth Maslenitsa festival this year. The rhythm and mood of the current festival will be set by concerts and master-classes as part of the Percussion for Maslenitsa series and present percussion music and musicians. The master-classes will be held on 28 February at the chamber venues of the Mariinsky II

Debuts in the opera The Snow Maiden
On 25 February soprano Gelena Gaskarova will be making her debut as Kupava, while baritone Alexander Krasnov will be appearing for the first time as Mizgir in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera The Snow Maiden at the Mariinsky II
A debut in the opera Sadko
Varvara Solovyova will be making her debut as Lyubava in Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s opera Sadko at the Mariinsky Theatre

XIII Moscow Easter Festival
Russia’s key and eagerly anticipated XIII Moscow Easter Festival will run from 20 April to 9 May 2014. We would like to invite you to attend the press conference where Artistic Director of the Moscow Easter Festival Valery Gergiev will present the programme of the thirteenth festival.

On 20 February soprano Anna Markarova and bass Pavel Shmulevich will make their debuts as Abigaille and Zaccaria in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Nabucco (production by Dmitry Bertman)
Debuts in La Bayadère
Yulia Stepanova will be making her debut as Gamzatti on 19 February, followed by Yekaterina Chebykina on 22 February. On 23 February David Zaleyev will perform as the Golden Idol for the first time. Also making their debuts in La Bayadère will be Zlata Yalinich (19 February) and Anna Lavrinenko (22 February) in the D’Jampe dance, Oxana Marchuk (19 February) in the Manu dance and Xenia Romashova (19 February) in the dance of the bayadères from Act II
