Yana Yukhmanova


Violin

Yana Yukhmanova was born in Leningrad. In 2009 she graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov College of Music (class of Lyudmila Gurevich), and in 2014 she graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Professor Anatoly Reznikovsky).

Prize-winner at the V International Rachmaninoff Competition with the Four Star Quartet (2012). With that quartet and with the Tavrichesky Orchestra she has appeared at the Great and Lesser Halls of the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Tauride Palace, the Vernadsky Museum in Moscow and in Germany, The Netherlands and France. In 2008 and 2009 she performed with the orchestra of the youth festival in Bayreuth (in 2009 as leader of the second violins). Together with the conservatoire's symphony orchestra she appeared at UNESCO headquarters in Paris (2012).

Has further developed her skills at master-classes conducted by Alexandre Brussilovsky, Thomas Furi, Daniel Draganov and Alla Aranovskaya.
Since 2013 she has been a member of the Mariinsky Orchestra.
