Violin

Yekaterina Rakhimova graduated from the Higher School of Music of the Republic of Sakha (1999) and the Moscow Conservatoire where she also completed a postgraduate study (class of Eduard Grach, 2007).
Prize-winner at the International Yampolsky Competition (1999), the Violin of the North international competition (1st prize, 2001), the Tadeusz Wroński Solo Violin Competition in Warsaw (2nd prize, 2003), the International Competition in Lisbon (1st prize, 2002) and the International Jozsef Szigeti – Jeno Hubay Violin Competition in Budapest (3rd prize, 2007).
For a long time she was leader of the Moskovia chamber orchestra directed by Eduard Grach and performed as a soloist in the ensemble’s concerts. Has toured throughout Russia and to Ukraine, Moldova, Austria, France, Japan and Israel.
Since 2005 she has taught at the Central School of Music of the Moscow State Conservatoire.
