Alexei Parshin

Alexei Parshin

Was born in 1957 in Moscow. He began his music studies under A. D. Artobolevsky. Graduated from the Central School of Music of the Moscow Conservatoire (piano class of I. R. Klyachko) and from the Moscow Conservatoire (organ class of L. I. Roizman and piano class of M. S. Voskresensky). As a grant recipient from the French Government, he studied at the Conservatoire Nationale in Rueil-Malmaison under Marie-Claire Alain (interpretation) and Jacques Taddei (organ improvisation). He graduated from the faculty of “high preparation” with the result “Gold Medal, unanimous”.

He has given recitals in Russia, France, Austria, Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the USA and other countries.

Founder and Art Director of the International Valery Kikta Organ Competition and the Moscow N. L. Bidloo Festival of Young Artists.

Honoured Artist of Russia, Honoured Worker for the Arts of Russia, Professor of the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire.
