Rustam Muradov graduated from the Specialised Middle School of the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Marina Wolf) and the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatoire (class of Ruvim Ostrovsky). Muradov has taken part in international piano competitions held in Almaty (Kazakhstan), Southern Highlands (Australia), the International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach (Austria), and the International Piano Competition in Memory of Emil Gilels in Odessa (Ukraine). He received the Yuri Temirkanov Prize in 2004. The pianist has taken part in master-classes of Sergei Osipenko, Mira Yevtich, Alexander Sandler, Nina Seryogina, Daniel Pollack, Willem Brons, and Dmitri Bashkirov. He has toured throughout Russia, Germany, Austria, Italy, Estonia, France, China, and Australia. Muradov has collaborated with such conductors as Valery Gergiev, Hobart Earle, Timur Zangiev, and Zaurbek Gugkaev.
