Born in Leningrad in 1981. Graduated from the Mravinsky Music School (1997, class of Evgeny Zaivei), Musorgsky Musical College (2001, class of Yevgeny Matveyev) and St. Petersburg Conservatory (2006, class of Alexandra Vavilina). In 2002–2009 he was member of the St. Petersburg Conservatory theatre orchestra. In 2004 he was appointed member of the Mariinsky Orchestra where he has held Principal Piccolo chair since 2009.
He participates in Mariinsky theatre tours and recordings and performs on Mariinsky chamber stages.
