In 2005 Yekaterina Sergeyeva graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (сlass of Yevgenia Gorokhovskaya). She was the member of the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers and in 2017 joined the Mariinsky Opera Company.

Yekaterina Sergeyeva was awarded by International Rodion Shchedrin and Maya Plisetskaya Foundation for her great achievements in performances of Rodion Shchedrin works on the stage of the Mariinsky Theatre (2017).

Her concert repertoire includes solo in Bach’s Mass in B minor and St Matthew Passion, Hendel’s Messiah and Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Mahler’s Eighth Symphony, Stravinsky’s Les noces, Shönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, Mozart’s Requiem as well Shostakovich’s song cycle From Jewish Folk Poetry, Poetoria by Rodion Shchedrin.

Ekaterina Sergeeva performed Olga in the productions of Eugene Onegin at the Mikhailovsky Theatre (directed by Vasily Barkhatov), Bayerische Staatsoper (directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski), Deutsche Oper Berlin (directed by Friedrich Goetz), and at Glyndebourne Festival (directed by Graham Vick).

As a guest soloist the singer performs at the Bolshoi Theatre. She has participated in the production of L'enfant et les sortilèges by Ravel and in The Stone Guest by Dargomyzhsky.

In 2015, at Leonid Desyatnikov’s music festival in Moscow, Ekaterina Sergeeva sang a solo part in The Rite of Winter 1949. She also appeared as Blanche in The Gambler on the stage of the Monte Carlo Opera (2016).

In autumn 2018 she made her debut at the Grand Théâtre de Genève as Carmen.

With the Mariinsky Theatre the singer has toured in Germany, Italy, Japan and the USA.
