Born in Mirny (Arkhangelsk Region). Graduated from the Petrozavodsk Glazunov State Conservatoire (class of Prof. Viktoria Gladchenko). From 2008 to 2016 she was a soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers. In 2009, she made her debut at the Mariinsky, appearing as Cherubino in Le Nozze de Figaro. Yulia gained an international recognition after winning the Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015.
Since 2017, she has been a member of the Mariinsky Opera Company.

Concert repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Mozart’s and Verdi’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Symphony No 9, Mahler’s Symphonies No 2 and 8; Roméo et Juliette by Berlioz, Alexander Nevsky and Ivan the Terrible by Prokofiev and Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass.
In the 2017/2018 season Yulia made her Bolshoi Theatre debut as Carmen, appeared in Tristan und Isolde on the Primorsky Stage (Thcerniakov’s production) and in Turin where she performed Das Klagende Lied under the baton of James Conlon.
Regular guest at the Moscow Easter Festival and the Stars of the White Nights Festival, as well as the Mikkeli (Finland) and Baden-Baden festivals. She appeared at the Edinburg Festival (Les Troyens, Alexander Nevsky), Verbier Festlval (Die Walküre) and BBC Proms in London (Janacek’s Glagolitic Mass). As part of the Mariinsky tour, she sang Brangäne in the concert version of Tristan und Isolde at the Gran Teatro del Liceu. Together with the Mariinsky Opera she has toured to Austria, Finland, Sweden, U. K., France, Japan, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, China, U. S., and Spain.
