Alexander Ronis


Alexander Ronis was born in 1972 in Leningrad. In 1997 he graduated from the St Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Art (class of Andrei Andreyev). From 1997-2007 he worked at the Theatre on Liteiny and from 2007-2010 at the St Petersburg Komissarzhevskaya Drama Theatre.

At present he performs at the Actor’s Refuge theatre. Appears in productions of Cyrano de Bergerac, Cancun, Le Mariage de Figaro, The Emigrants, Oh Dad! Poor Dad! and A Streetcar Called Desire. In 2005 he won the  Golden Mask prize for the role of Calaf in the production About Turandot.

Has appeared in the films Hard to Be a God, Hours of Love, Lucky Pashka, My Dear Fellow, The Inventor, A Word to a Woman, When the Snow Melted, Shadows of the Past, My Joy, Sindbad’s Final Journey, Polumgla, Garpastum, Those Who Lost the Sun, Letters to Elza and The Smoke and in the serials The Master and Margarita, Bandit Petersburg, Ligovka, Rip Current.

Took part in the programme In the Museum without a Guide on Kultura TV. Performs the role of Goebbels in the 3D musical Pola Negri.
Appeared in the programme The Ball at Ciniselli’s at the Circus Ciniselli.
