Claire Lefilliâtre

Soprano

Claire Lefilliâtre's career is linked with the baroque repertoire: she is one of the most respected performers of French and Italian music of the 17th century. Since 1999 she has regularly collaborated with the ensemble Le Poème Harmonique. Has taken part in the ensemble's highly acclaimed projects, among them an authentic production of Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme staged by director Benjamin Lazar including mises-en-scène by Lully, productions of the baroque operas Cadmus et Hermione by Lully, La Vita humana by Marco Marazzoli and Egisto by Francesco Cavalli. With her, the ensemble has appeared in concerts and produced recordings of baroque rarities such as the albums L’Humaine Comédie by Etienne Moulinié, Lamentations by Emilio de' Cavalieri, Tenebrae by Michel-Richard De Lalande and Carnets De Voyages by Charles Tessier among others. In addition to her vocal training and learning the specifics of historic performance, Claire Lefilliâtre has studied baroque gestures and declamation under Eugène Green and Benjamin Lazar. Her voice can be heard in Green's films Le Pont des arts (2004) and Le Fils de Joseph (2016).
