Ravil Islyamov was born in Vladimir in 2001. Graduated from the Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (class of Alexander Vinnitsky), since 2019 he studies at the Moscow Conservatory in the class of the same teacher. Has taken part in masterclasses conducted by Boris Kuschnir, Mikhail Gantvarg, Alexander Shustin and Maxim Fedotov.
Recipient of the Gold Medal at the Youth Delphic Games of Russia (Tyumen, 2016; Vladivostok, 2018) and the Grand Prix at the International Beethoven Competition for Violin, Viola and Cello (Sankt Pölten, Austria, 2016), winner of the Youth Delphic Games of the CIS Member States (Moscow, 2016) and the All-Russian Music Competition (Moscow, 2018). Recipient of 2nd prize and the Silver Medal at the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition (Moscow – St Petersburg, 2023).
Grant recipient of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charity Foundation and the Yuri Rozum International Charitable Foundation.
Regularly tours to towns and cities throughout Russia, also appearing in Europe (including the Brucknerhaus Linz), Belarus, Azerbaijan, Japan and the Middle East. Has given concerts with the Mariinsky Orchestra, the St Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia (Svetlanov Symphony Orchestra), the Moscow State Symphony Orchestra under Pavel Kogan, the State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, the Kazan Chamber Orchestra La Primavera, the State Symphonic Orchestra Symphonica ARTica of the State Philharmonic of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the Symphony Orchestra of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. He performs at the Mariinsky Theatre, the St Petersburg State Capella, the Moscow Concert Hall Zaryadye, the St Petersburg Philharmonia and the Moscow Philharmonic Society among other venues.
Participant in programmes of the St Petersburg Music House since 2017.
Currently plays a Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” violin of 1735.
