Born in Armenia.
Graduated from the Yerevan State College of Dance.
Joined the Armenian Academic Spendiarian Opera and Ballet Theatre in 1990; soloist since 1997.
Repertoire includes: Giselle (Giselle), Carmen (Carmen), Nina (Masquerade), Desdemona (Othello), Nune, Gayaneh (Gayaneh), Street Dancer, Amour (Don Quixote), Masha (The Nutcracker), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Seventh and Eleventh Waltzes (Chopiniana) and Phrygia (Spartacus). Has toured to the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Egypt, Turkey, Syria, Bahrain, Monaco and CIS countries.
In 2010 she was awarded the Mesrop Mashtots Medal.
November 2012 saw the premiere of The Dream of which Zhakelina Sarkhoshian was Production Director.
