Sae Eun Park

• Prize-winner at the International Ballet Competition in Beijing (China, 2006, 2nd prize)
• Recipient of the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux (2013)
• Recipient of the Roma prize (2010)

Born in Seoul (South Korea). Trained at the National Academy of Dance of the Korean Ballet. Performed in the youth company of American Ballet Theatre.
From 2009-2012 she was with the National Ballet of Korea where she performed lead roles in the ballets La Bayadère (Nikia) and The Nutcracker (Clara).
In 2012 she joined the corps de ballet of the Opéra de Paris, becoming a coryphée in 2013 and a soloist in 2014. Her repertoire includes roles in the ballets The Sleeping Beauty (Blue Bird Pas de deux; Rudolf Nureyev’s version), La Source (Naïla; choreography by Jean-Guillaume Bart), Rain (choreography by Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker and John Neumeier’s ballet The Song of the Earth.
