Georg Grün is one of the most sought-after international choral conductors and specialists in choral music. He founded the KammerChor Saarbrücken in 1990 and has been its Artistic Director ever since. He has won major national and international choral competitions, gives concerts at numerous acclaimed music festivals and regularly produces CDs with Carus-Verlag and Rondeau Production. From 2002 until 2012 he held a professorship for choral conducting at the Musikhochschule in Mannheim. There he founded a chamber chorus with which he has also won several international prizes. In 2012 Georg Grün moved to the Hochschule für Musik Saarbrücken as a professor and became Artistic Director of the Evangelische Chorgemeinschaft an der Saar.
Georg Grün works as a guest conductor, jury member and tutor at international master-classes for choral conducting both nationally and internationally. In the course of the last few years he has worked as a guest professor in Stockholm, Helsinki and Trieste. He is a mentor at the forum for conductors of the German Music Council and Chairman of the international jury of the chamber chorus competition in Marktoberdorf.
