Vladimir Fanshil

Australian conductor Vladimir Fanshil is quickly establishing himself as a versatile artist covering symphonic, operatic and ballet genres. Following a fruitful partnership as assistant conductor to Ivan Fischer (2013-2017), he has continued to make noteworthy performances, most recently with the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Philharmonie Luxembourg, Budapest Festival Orchestra, Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, Mariinsky Orchestra, Orchestre national d'Île de France, Odessa National Philharmonic, as well as at the Bashmet Festival and the Odessa National Opera. Engagements for the current season include La Traviata at the Köln Oper, Stravinsky’s one-act ballets at the Rijeka Opera (Croatia) and a Prokofiev project in Melbourne (Australia).

In 2012, Vladimir Fanshil completed his masters of symphonic and opera conducting at the St Petersburg State Conservatoire. Whilst a student there he conducted the State Hermitage Orchestra and a number of opera productions at the Conservatoire Opera Theatre. Following his studies, he moved to Germany to work at Hamburg State Opera and soon after began assisting Iván Fischer.
