About the performers

Alexander Bolotin was born in 2000 in St Petersburg. In 2008 he began to study the piano. Since 2012 he has studied at the Middle Special School of Music of the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Alexander Sandler).
Has performed at various concert venues in St Petersburg. Has won numerous prizes at international music competitions. In 2012 he received the Young Talents award from the St Petersburg City Government. In 2013 he gave a recital in Burgos (Spain). Has toured to Estonia, Italy, Spain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, Finland, Israel and the USA.
In 2014 and 2015 the ensemble took part in the International Georgy Teratsuyants Choral Festival and the St Petersburg Autumn international arts festival.
The ensemble has been a prize-winner at the All-Russian Childhood in Song Competition, the International Festival of Children’s Classical Choruses Kranevo for Children, the Christmas in Prague international competition (Grand Prix and Gold Medal, 2007) and the International Chorus Competition in Rome (Golden Diploma), a diploma-recipient at the All-Russian Competition of Classical Choruses and the International Festival of the Otzenhausen Musikakademie, recipient of the Silver Medal at the International Choral Olympiad in St Petersburg and Bronze Medallist at the All-Russian Competition of Classical Choruses of the North-West Region in St Petersburg.
In December 2015 in Moscow he was awarded a concert audition and received a Path to Scriabin grant, named in honour of Alexander Scriabin.
