On 1 November at the Mariinsky II following the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Attila (at roughly 21:45) there will be an autograph session with Mariinsky Opera soloists Ildar Abdrazakov and Anna Markarova to mark the release of the DVD Attila on the Mariinsky label
On 1 November the performance of Vasily Vainonen’s ballet The Nutcracker will see debuts by Xenia Zhiganshina (a student of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet) in one of the lead roles, Sofia Ivanova-Skoblikova as the Doll, Vasily Tkachenko as the Moor and Roman Belyakov, Alexei Tyutyunnik and Artyom Ibryanov in the Rose Waltz, while Yelizaveta Antonova, Yekaterina Bondarenko and Alexei Tyutyunnik will be appearing in the ballet as Elegant Ladies and one of the Cavaliers for the first time.
