Zhanna Dombrovskaya was born in Pyatigorsk. Graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Professor
Svetlana Gorenkova) and the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers in 2000.
Soloist with the St Petersburg State Musorgsky Academic Theatre of
Opera and Ballet from 2001–2003. Mariinsky Theatre soloist since 2003.

Zhanna
Dombrovskaya has toured to New York (Metropolitan Opera), Rome, Madrid
(Orquesta Philharmonic), Moscow (Bolshoi Theatre) and Baden-Baden as
well as to cities throughout Germany, South Korea, Italy, Japan and
Switzerland. She has taken part in master classes with Renata Scotto
(Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome, 2004; Operatic Academy of
Westchester Conservatoire, New York, 2005). She has a busy concert
schedule of solo concerts in cities throughout Russia. In the 2009-2010 season she took part in a performance of The Infernal Comedy featuring John Malkovich.
