Olga Volobuyeva


Graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 1989 (teachers: Ninella Kurgapkina,  Nikolai Serebryеnnikov, Bella Rachinskaya, Marat Daukaev, Irina Gensler) and joined the Kirov Ballet (now the Mariinsky Ballet) the same year. 
Her repertoire there included  La Sylphide (the Sylph), Swan Lake (Odette, Odile),  La Bayadère (Gamzatti), Don Quixote (the Queen of the Dryads), Stone Flower (Mistress of the Copper Mountain). 
Then Olga Volobuyeva joined Colorado Ballet (USA), where she performed in the ballets The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), in the ballets by George Balanchine (Serenada, Rubies, Western Symphony, Stars and Stripes), in Alvin Alley’s River. With the Royal Ballet of Flanders (Belgium) her  repertoire  included The Nutcracker  (Clara), The Sleeping Beauty (Aurora), La Bayadère (Nikiya, Gamzatti), Giselle (Giselle, Mirta), ballets by William Forsythe In the Middle Something Elevated, Impressing the Czar and Jerome Robbins’  In the Night.
She also has performed with Ballet Victor Ullate and Peter Schaufuss Ballet.
Performed as a guest artist with the following companies, such as San Francisco  Ballet (USA), Setsuko Itchikawa Ballet (Japan), Arlington Ballet (USA).  Has worked as a ballet mistress with Yantra Ballet Academy, Ballet West  (The Great Britain), Ballerino ballet.
