Emil Faski
Choreographer
After graduating from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, Emil
Faski was a principal dancer with the State Leonid Yakobson Ballet
Theatre, where he performed a great many roles in the classical
repertoire. He has worked with the dance companies in Hamburg, Monte
Carlo and Stuttgart. He has danced in ballets by choreographers
including John Cranko, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Mats Ek and John
Neumeier, and has also begun to develop his career as a choreographer.
Since 2007 he has been actively engaged with many ballet companies as a
choreographer and he also works with renowned playwrights, designers
and composers. In 2009 he made his debut as a choreographer at the
Mariinsky Theatre, where he staged the dances in the opera Les Troyens.
