• Won the Vaganova-prix competition (St Petersburg, 1995).
• Won the Baltika Prize in 1998.
• Won the St Petersburg Golden Sofit theatre prize (1999, 2000).
• Awarded the Spirit of Dance prize in the category Star by Ballet magazine (2000).
• Recipient of the Leonide Massine Prize (Italy, Positano, 2006).

Born in Leningrad (St Petersburg).
Graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy (class of Prof. Vladilen Semenov).
Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 1995 and became a Principal dancer in 1997.

In 2001, Neumeier specially created the lead role in Sounds of Empty Pages for Andrian Fadeyev.
Made his debut at the Berliner Oper as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet in 2003.
Has danced at the Opera di Roma in Apollo, The Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake.
In 2005 he performed the main role in Vainonens The Nutcracker at the National Theatre in Tokyo, and made his debut with the Bayerisches Staatsballet in Ivan Liskas The Sleeping Beauty.

Has toured with the Mariinsky Theatre to Germany and UK
