The light of nights in St Petersburg as if comes to life in the watercolour-like plastique of Maya Dumchenko’s dance, woven together from shades and semitones. The ballerina’s range has elements of aristocratism, noble gestures and classically pure dance. And, lastly, the flawless technique and the dedication to the profession without with no heights can be scaled.

Maya Dumchenko’s dance stands apart for its elegance and expressiveness. She is a true bird-girl, fast, trembling and light in flight.
